You are welcome to find the collection of about 500 codebases for popular home equipment here.

IMPORTANT. Before to start downloading codebases, please carefully read the end user license agreement at the end of this topic.

One .zip file contains about 438 codebases collected by Novii, other has about 56 codebases learned by our valued customers. We are thankful to everyone who shared their codebases with others on this forum.

All these codebases are in 2.x format, so if you are using NoviiRemote Deluxe, you need to import these codebases to NoviiRemote Deluxe format.

Troubleshooting:

* The infrared port of some handhelds is slightly underpowered, so to be sure, try to control your devices from a very short distance (3-4 feet).

* Also verify that you are pointing the infrared port on your handheld at the home entertainment equipment. Note that the infrared port on some handhelds is located on the side of the device.

* Finally please be sure that you are pointing directly at the infrared receiver of your devices, not at the screen.

License agreement:

1. NoviiMedia hereby authorizes you to copy codebases published on this forum solely for non-commercial use. No other use of the information is authorized. In consideration of this authorization, you agree that any copy of these materials that you make shall retain all copyright and other proprietary notices in the same form and manner as on the original.

??????

If I interpret your post right, you are wondering why novii can claim to be THE answer(they are not the only ones that make an equivalent to a universal remote, you see mentions of Omni Remote in other parts of the forum). The best way to get a fully functioning remote is to have Novii Remote learn codes from the original remote.

I have yet to see a universal remote that controls EVERY function of a device, unless the device is really basic. Some old tv remotes can only have a volume/channel up and down and power, while others have channel up/dn, vol up/dn, power and channel numbers, and more and more features are getting added.

How do i convert from the 2.x format to Deluxe format? I have already installed the 2.x codebases to my palm zire 72 but when i select retrieve from IR archive, the respond was that none available? Please help me....

To import the learned codebases from the older NoviiRemote 2.x to NoviiRemote 3.0 Deluxe, please launch NoviiRemote Deluxe, open its menu and select the Add New Device item. In response the Add Device Wizard must appear. Check on the box named "Import from NoviiRemote 2.x", press the Next button and follow instructions.

So the question I have is How do you teach NoviiRemote to learn codes from the original remote? I've been looking for the procedure on how to do that, but I haven't yet found it. Thx. Wink

Please refer to User Guide. There you can find detailed description of how to perform learning NoviiRemote from the original remote control of your home device.
